Final Project
For our final project, we had to come up with an AR app about Taylors and a microsite about the AR app.
Final project is divided into two main areas.
- Spark AR app
- Adobe Animate Microsite
Spark AR app
- An AR app about Taylors You can do any kind of app for Taylors University. Some example:
+ using "Fixed Target Tracker" for Taylors logo/poster/merchandise tracking, which shows AR graphic or AR map of Taylors
+ using a logic patch, to simulate a randomizer to make a "where to eat in Taylors" ar app. (lots of tutorials online for this)
+ Virtual graduation, AR gown and cap using "Face Tracker"
+ AR objects/designs that could be placed in real-world using "Plane tracker"
+ AR gallery, that could be placed in real-world using "Plane tracker" and let the user visit a virtual exhibition
- You can use Native UI Picker, if you could think of a creative way to use them. like switching between graphic
Adobe Animate Microsite
- Intro about the app
- Intro about the app
- Objective of the app
- Where to download
- Step to use the app, etc
- no number of page requirement.
* both Spark AR app and Adobe Animate microsite should follow the same theme/design. Please record demo video of both microsite and spark ar filter.
Week 11 - Week 13
To be frank, I struggled to think of ideas for this project. There were ideas that were good to me but are difficult to execute. I was settling into the idea of doing a "Where to eat" food randomizer for Taylors. Upon halfway finishing the assets, I discussed my ideas with a friend and she suggested that I can do a "Never have I ever" or "Who is more" randomizer.
Hence, I changed my ideas to create a " How Taylorian Are You" quiz that is interactive yet personalized. There will be questions asked on the plane, users will have to answer the question by tilting their head left or right to proceed to the next question. Once all questions are answered, their results will be shown.
To start executing this idea, I started creating my assets in Photoshop. I gathered my references for the questions from the Taylors bingo that was generated and went viral during the MCO period. I managed to get hold of the template and chose some topics that were relatable and most relevant to being a Taylorian.

After designing the assets, I exported them into Spark AR and created different planes for the questions, and using the patch editor to create a runtime sequence together with the head interactions.

After I'm done with the Spark AR App. I worked on the microsite designs in Figma. I have in total of 4 pages including the homepage.
