Firstly, we focused on the section of analysis and discussion. Prior to that, we had to create a research matrix to identify the similar themes and keywords from the research data collected. For each keyword/topic, we needed columns for the details, literature, and collected data.

WEEK 2
It was good for me to include my research questions and research problem in my document. As for my first two sections of my survey data, I need to include more details about the question asked. For my discussion structure, I can introduce what is brand identity and visual elements, then, I should see where I can impart the themes into the following chapters of the discussion. From now on, I should start identifying similar themes and categorize them under one heading. Since my research is a case study on two brands, I will have to justify why I chose those two brands in the final paragraph and discuss how is it related to my research problem in the discussion.

Dr. Jinchi reminded me to change the numbering of my discussion incase I forgot in the later part. For the first part, she suggested me to include a few pictures showing the brand identity so that it looks more visually exciting. At the end of brand identity,I should relate it back to brand identity. For my second part, it should be talking about the elements contributing indivdually while in the third part, it talks about the elements all work together. Before we break into our sub points, I will have to explain the reason why it breaks down into the following points. Overall, most of my writing is descriptive writing. I need to relate back to my research problem. Since I have my secondary sources, how do i use the information in the context of my choice of brands. I have to constantly bring back my two brands into my discussion so that I am writing more critically. For my discussion structure, I can take out the 4th and 5th point because everything is weaved into the 2nd and 3rd point.

WEEK 5
Dr. Jinchi helped to structure my sentences better and suggested me to include more pictures into the content. For my discussion sections, I have to use what I have cited and explained in the introduction of the subtopic into my discussions. I have to bring that knowledge and relate it back to the discussion. In my colour subtopic, I have to indicate that my color isn't just talking about the logo but it encompasses the whole branding colour. I have to also focus on visual elements in graphic design. For example. the worker's attire isn't a visual element but I should focus on the colour instead. Overall, I have to elaborate more on my statements relating to the citations. I have already got the main chunk of the work done, I only have to tighten the loose ends now.
WEEK 6
Dr. Jinchi has helped me to rephrase my sentences and she liked the second paragraph of my introduction as it sets a boundary that I'm in. I should also change some words that I use so that it isn't too repetitive. For my photos, it will be repetitive as I will be using back photos from my visual analysis. The figure numbers for my photos should also be coherent and standardized in the whole draft. For my discussion section, I should just combine brand associate and brand personality to be under the subtopic as both are connected to each other. With me looking into brand association and brand personaloty is good as it makes my study different. I can also explain on the importance of the framewoek. Overall, good job.WEEK 7
For my literature review, I don't have to include the bibliography in, and also replace it with the authors' name. I can group few articles together, even up to four articles is acceptable and talk about their similarities and differences. I can also compare their research methodologies. At the begginning of our literature review, we should also have a short paragraph to introduce our literature review. For my book design concept, my first idea is cleaner. Dr. Jinchi is concerned with the use of pastel colours as it feels powdery and fashion related. Instead, I can look into skincare products and study their design. It will give me a closer picture when it comes to the design of my book which is related to skincare products. We are to show a few examples of our book design next week as well as a completed literature review.
WEEK 8
Dr. Jinchi checked on my amended literature review and made some additional changes to it. In some of the points made, I should have an elaboration of the comparison. For my book cover design, Dr. Jinchi liked the 3rd option and she helped adjusted the positioning of the elements. Good.
