INSTRUCTIONS
PROJECT 2
For project 2, we had to collaborate with the School of Biosciences and to create a packaging and merchandising for their product. I teamed up with Kelly for this project and our product was a Stevia infused low-fat yogurt drink.
Here's the embedded PDF for the product brief:
After having a discussion with our group mates, we started to discuss about the overall look for the product and its packaging.
Upon approval, we then proceed to work on redesigning the brand logo. Here are some of our sketches:

After consulting with Mr. Shamsul, he helped us shortlisted a few logos and we proceeded to choose the final logo and explored on the different colour variations to see which look best. In the end, we went for the bottom number 2.

I was in charge of designing the packaging meanwhile Kelly was in charge of the merchandising. After finalizing the logo, I proceeded to digitize the illustrations and the packaging.
I proceeded to design the packaging once Mr. Shamsul gave the green light to proceed with one of the options. Here is the final outcome:

FEEDBACK
Week 10
Mr. Shamsul mentioned that we should include some information about probiotics or visuals for the users to understand. We can also come up with the USP for our packaging. We can also come up with a secondary packaging for the product, such as a holder for the yogurt drinks in sets of 4. Mr. Shamsul like the brand name and has no problem with our other ideas. Regarding the packaging to be in BM, Mr. Shamsul suggested to have two face to the packaging with the label in both languages and the information to remain in BM. Furthermore, he also asked us to think more on the primary packaging material where it can be easily disposed, the shape of the bottle etc.
Week 11
Mr. Shamsul helped us to shortlist the logos that we digitised, as we further explore the colours, we finalized on no.2 and no.4. Meanwhile, for the merchandise, it's good to have a theme to help think of the types of merchandise. The merchandise that is themed "Keep fit/healthy" is listed and Mr. Shamsul is okay with it, we can now progress with the packaging.
Week 13
Mr. Shamsul likes the packaging design on the 17th slide as it is clean and well presented. We can proceed with this style. The typeface used for the additional information can be in another secondary typeface. Continue to work on the back of the packaging with the nutritional information and the sleeve and merchandise.
Week 14
You can continue with the first mock up design, it looks good. Remember to show Mr. Shamsul the merchandising by this week.
